Most recently, Rae’s been presenting 4 hours, daily, of live prime-time TV for the last 9 years on the acclaimed and award winning UK and USA TV shopping networks, Gemporia and Jewellery Maker.
With her warm and clean, subtle Welsh lilt, she’s also voiced their educational DVDs and commercials during her time there.
Rae’s recently spent time training in London with “Take Me Out” and “X Factor” Producers, Gareth Davies and Leon Campbell. This was to enrich her own presenting skills and share her experiences with newer, aspiring TV presenters.
With working full time and raising a family, it’s great for her to be able to still learn and train with the best. Such is her passion for presenting and performing.
Rae has hosted many major corporate events over the years, with clients including HSBC, ASDA/Walmart, Manchester Airport, Job Centre Plus, The Central Office of Information and North East NHS.
This last year, Rae’s passions outside work led her to become a qualified personal trainer, fitness instructor and nutritionist. She’s now qualified to pass on her passion for a healthy lifestyle as an expert presenter and TV personality on subjects surrounding all aspects of health and fitness and nutrition.
Rae’s passion for acting hasn’t waned in the last decade. And although she hasn’t been able to embrace acting in a full time capacity, in between working at Gemporia, and raising her son, she has returned to Welsh language soap opera, Pobol y Cwm on numerous occasions. Most recently, Rae has appeared regularly in S4C’s 35 Diwrnod, BBC’s Casualty and Dr Who, and FOX’s Da Vinci’s Demons.
Rae attended Academy Award winner, Kevin Spacey’s “Master Class” 12 week course where she gained more training and enhanced her experiences as an actor.
She has always had a passion for all things musical and music generally, reading, film and theatre. Rae left the world of performing for a little while to manage a theatre in the North of Yorkshire – directing and producing plays such as “Under Milk Wood” and “Misery”, as well as the company’s in-house musicals. But her true passions turned her head again, and so she returned to her TV roots.
Rae has, over the years voiced many commercials, both in English and Welsh language, as a fluent Welsh speaker, along with corporate training videos, cartoon characters for Welsh language adverts, and S4C idents. She has also presented radio, as herself, for the former, Red Dragon Radio (now Capital Radio and Heart), and for South Wales’ Bro Radio. She’s appeared many times as a guest for BBC Radio Cymru.
She’s also the “voice” of Wales’ National Concert Hall, at St David’s Hall, Cardiff.
Rae is looking forward to re-connecting with her peers and also meeting new companies and clients now that she has moved back to Wales. She’s excited at the opportunity to work with people who are as passionate about their work as she is about hers.
